HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide an emergency response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Our creative style of Training and Assessment enables the student to fully understand the principles of Basic Life Support (BLS).
Topics include;
  • Respond to an emergency situation
  • Perform CPR procedures – Adult + Child + Infant CPR
  • Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
  • First aid management for allergic reaction
  • First aid management for anaphylaxis
  • First aid management for bleeding control
  • First aid management for choking and airway obstruction
  • First aid management for respiratory distress, including asthma
  • First aid management for shock
